Generally, yes - you're correct. (It's actually 12.75 in tall.) I've created a diagram and added it to the product photos to help illustrate what the listed dimensions mean.
We usually list product sizes as Length x Width/Depth x Height: in this case the width / depth is the "side" dimension where the "gusset" or side fold is.
