As part of the sugar production process, raw sugarcane is harvested then pressed to extract the sugar.
The leftover by product is mainly fibrous stalks of the sugar cane plant.
This is shredded into pulp and converted into a "paper-like" material known as "bagasse" which is then formed and pressurized into the shape of the container/
This processing method leads to a fully compostable takeout container.
