I need to contact the Manufacturer's rep. While I believe the Greenwave is BPI certified I will try and get the official answer. I do know for a fact that the plates, bowls and other items made from Sugarcane that we carry (also called Bugaase) is BPI certified. I will add to these comments as soon as I get the official answer. A local Composting facility accepts these cutlery for composting. I'm assuming you want to compost them.
