There is an interlocking tab where the lid tucks into the front of the box. The sides could in essence go inside the box but keep in mind the design or topping, or sides of your baked goods may be disrupted.

Question about the pink 10x14x4 bakery box: do the lids stay shut without tape or ribbon? Some reviews have said the boxes don't stay shut. I am curious if there is a tab to close the sides down or do the sides go inside the box?Thank you!
