Definitely reusable but only if they are washed up...the plastic for this sushi to go container although is made from PLA based plastic which means if there is moisture and bacteria and heat the plastic may start to decompose. So if you use these compostable sushi trays, wash them and then dry them the PLA will not breakdown, but if you leave them sitting around or in a sink full of dirty dish water etc....they will not be reusable. One last VERY IMPORTANT POINT is PLA Plastic has a low melting point of about 105 degrees fahrenheit, so you can't run them in teh dishwasher or under very hot water since they will deform and with boiling water turn to jello like texture...definitely not reusable then.
