This gable box is FDA approved food safe. However, it is not grease resistant as there is no liner to protect the grease from coming through. We can suggest using our High Performance Waxed Tissue to harbor the grease from the fried chicken, or using an inner vented container placed inside. Another idea would be to place the fried chicken in on of our food trays Item # XFSSQ7152-200 then insert it in the box. I'd still recommend using some sort of waxed tissue in addition to the suggestions.
