Are these boxes lined at all? I'm thinking of putting salads or even a hot food (like chicken wings) inside.

These boxes are not lined. They can hold 'dry' items such as breads. They are designed to fit half steam table pan which you then can put your salads or even a hot food (like chicken wings).
