Do these boxes need assembly, or do they merely unfold? Or do they come in the 9x9x2 footprint?

These bakery boxes do need assembly. 1-piece locked corner construction is the description which means that they arrive to you flat. You fold each box and put notch "a" into slot "b" so to speak. Each corner will need this done.
