The Bio-Plus Earth are not considered compostable. They are Eco Friendly, recyclable and made from post consumer materials. If you are looking for a compostable take out box, take a look at the "Terra" line here: https://www.mrtakeoutbags.com/store/b... Unfortunately the manufacturer does not make a #5 in the Terra.
